If you are trying to arrange accommodation abroad, do not part with any money atall before you have seen a property. Do not accept documents sent by e-mail as proof of ownership. Remember: 'No bricks, no money.'There is a centuries-old method of fraud called 'confidence-trickster' and it is fairly easy if you are looking on the internet to fall foul of this technique when you are looking for accommodation abroad.
On the internet, confidence tricksters try to establish a 'relationship' with you by exchange of e-mail. The confidence trick (if it ever happens) is to get you to ignore the fact that you don't really know who they are or where they are, because you so want what is on offer that you suspend your judgement.
It is also fairly easy to not fall foul of this..
If you follow the rule that unless you can see the bricks and the landlord with your eyeballs, and you don't hand over any money, then the internet can't defraud you.

ROOM WITH A VIEW
I sublet my room (15m2) in shared apartment (75m2). My flatmate and I both have a bedroom and share a guest room/office, the kitchen and the living room. The flat is on the 12th floor of tower building in the heart of Berlin (Mitte), the view is terrific, the subway U2 Spittelmarkt in front of the house . Everything you might need is there (incl. internet, TV, hi fi, dish washer, washing machine, etc).
The rent of 350 EUR includes everything.
I go abroad from May 15 to July 15 but am flexible regarding the dates and could stay longer.
