On the internet, confidence tricksters try to establish a 'relationship' with you by exchange of e-mail. The confidence trick (if it ever happens) is to get you to ignore the fact that you don't really know who they are or where they are, because you so want what is on offer that you suspend your judgement.
It is also fairly easy to not fall foul of this..
If you follow the rule that unless you can see the bricks and the landlord with your eyeballs, and you don't hand over any money, then the internet can't defraud you.

I just moved to Amsterdam and am looking for a room in a nice flat with nice (possibly) creative people. Im working in the centre and ideally would be looking to live within 20 minutes cycle of it.
I like tea, chess, sunrise, reading, photography, cycling and music is the centre of my universe (i play acoustic guitar), but i still appreciate a good silence.
Im friendly and easy going but don't make a mess. I smoke but don't mind going outside, in fact i prefer it in a way.
I would be looking to move in right away, and am intending to stay in Amsterdam for at least a year.
